Michael De Santis focuses his practice within the Oil and Gas and Business Law groups, providing support in oil and gas title opinion examination and business transactions for clients in a variety of industries. Michael’s background in cutting-edge technologies, coding and privacy policies provides a unique insight to modern-day commercial transactions, ensuring company websites comply with U.S. and E.U. data privacy regulations, and possessing in-depth knowledge of laws related to emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain.
During law school, Michael served as a professor’s assistant, supporting the Uniform Law Commission with UCC amendments related to emerging technologies. He also gained experience at the West Virginia University Legal Clinic, working in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Law Department.
