Ellen Terry

Ellen joined Atencio Hall after earning her undergraduate degree from Hunter College and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2011. Since then, she has built a practice focused on complex title, real estate, and transactional matters across the energy and renewable energy industries, including title examination, due diligence, property development rights, and asset acquisitions. Ellen is known for providing thoughtful, practical counsel that helps clients navigate sophisticated transactions with confidence.

Carson Schambach

After earning a B.S. in Finance, magna cum laude, from Marshall University and his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 2017, Carson joined Atencio Hall and has dedicated his practice to serving energy, oil and gas, and business clients. He advises clients on title opinions, mineral acquisitions, due diligence, commercial real estate, and contract negotiations, delivering practical, business-focused solutions that help clients move projects forward.

Eric MarkleyEric Markley

Eric’s legal career has been centered on the energy industry since earning both his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. At Atencio Hall, he focuses on oil and gas development, including title examination, mineral rights, leases, and title curative throughout the Appalachian Basin. Clients value Eric’s analytical approach and steady guidance on complex legal and regulatory matters. He also serves as President of the Energy Law Section of the Washington County Bar Association.

Anthony Burgess

Anthony brought a strong foundation in business and energy law to Atencio Hall after earning his B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Dickinson College and his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2008. Throughout his career, he has counseled clients on oil and gas, real estate, and business matters, with a practice focused on title examination, due diligence, transactional work, and title curative. Anthony is known for providing responsive counsel and practical legal guidance that supports his clients’ long-term business goals.

Danielle BurkeDanielle Burke

Before joining Atencio Hall, Danielle served as Managing Partner of a Philadelphia civil litigation firm and built a diverse legal career spanning transactional law, real estate, and civil litigation. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate from Clarion University in 2010 and her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2013. Today, Danielle counsels energy clients on title review, mineral and lease acquisitions, contract drafting and negotiation, due diligence, and curative work while also representing clients in property-related litigation. Her unique blend of transactional and litigation experience allows her to provide practical, forward-thinking guidance to clients.
