Shane LaBarge focuses his legal practice on estate planning and administration, in addition to providing counsel to businesses both locally and nationally in the energy and real estate sectors. As an estate planner, Shane develops comprehensive estate and business succession plans for his clients that provide for their loved ones and preserve their assets for years to come.

Shane provides compassionate counsel on all aspects of estates and trusts, including wills, living wills, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, irrevocable trusts, probate and estate administration, and Orphans’ Court litigation. Shane also counsels energy, corporate and real estate clients on a range of business issues, including transactions, title, corporate governance and employment matters. In addition to his legal practice, Shane advocates for proactive financial planning as a motivational speaker at break-out sessions and retreats for the financial services industry.

Before joining Atencio Hall, PLLC, Shane served as a law clerk for United States Federal Courts and practiced at a Global 100 law firm. During law school, Shane served as the Executive Editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Legislation and received two Dean’s Awards for research, writing and disability law.

A member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Shane published Chevron and Beyond the Infinite: The Judicial and Legislative Challenges to the Administrative State, 44 J. Legis. 107 (2017). Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Shane now lives in Moon Township.
